Photokatsu8 (フォトカツ８ Fotokatsu Eito) is a variant of Aikatsu8, exclusive to the Aikatsu! Photo on Stage!! mobile game.
Elections[]
Photokatsu users were to vote for their favorite among 28 idols (all 24 main characters plus Shion Kamiya, Hikari Minowa, Minami Hateruma, and Yū Hattori), with voting tickets available via login bonuses and event rewards. First place receives a new PR card, while second to eighth receive new SR's. All eight idols are to record a new song and star in a new event.
Voting lasted from November 30, 2016 to January 10, 2017. Throughout the voting period, idols campaigned to garner support periodically on the official Photokatsu Twitter. Final results were announced on January 27, with over 7 million votes cast.

- The line-up is nearly identical to the 2015 anime line-up of Aikatsu8, with only Juri in place of Sakura Kitaōji.
