Special Appeals (スペシャルアピール ) are a type of stage illusions used by Aikatsu! idols. In Episode 1, when Ichigo performed a Special Appeal in her first performance, it had marked her as an especially talented idol. A Special Appeal is a technique used during a performance when idols bring out the full radiance of their clothes and raise the energy of the audience.
The types of appeal that can be performed vary depending on the types of clothes worn. Normally, idols are only able to perform a maximum of two or three Special Appeals during a performance depending on their stamina, but Mizuki has been able to perform four and many believe this was what made her a legend.

Trivia
- Mizuki did 4 special appeals on stage during a Signalize! performance. The maximum number of Special Appeals in one show is 3. This is another proof, that Mizuki is Top Idol. Aoi and Ran says she will be a Legendary Idol to perform more than 3 special appeals at a performance.
- Before Episode 16, which start to tell the function of Special Appeals, the Appeal itself was rarely used.
- On Episode 16, 17, 24, 28, and Hirari/Hitori/Kirari's ending clip, the Angel Arrows' backgrounds are sky blue with clouds, however, in Episode 19 and 50, the background is a deep blue (like night sky) with glitters by it, the heart-shaped jewels come from the large heart that Ichigo shot also have a smaller amount than what the rest episodes did (except Episode 28).
- In Episode 17, during the loss of energy in Ichigo, Mizuki performs a Special Appeal. Ichigo regains energy as remnants from the appeal shower her.
- As of Episode 174, idols do not need to wear a Fever Dress to pull of a fever appeal, yet it is unclear why this is happening.
- The first time an Idol fails to pull off a Special Appeal is in Episode 176, with the idol being Sumire. The reason for it was unclear however.
