Forming☆Aikatsu8 (結成☆アイカツ８) is the 91st episode of Aikatsu! TV anime series and the 41st episode of its "2nd Season" (
Story[]
Everyone awaits the results of the recent Aikatsu8 campaign and they prepare for their first tour performance.
Summary[]
Touku Tokui, a reporter is preparing to announce the winners of the Aikatsu8 Election. As the crowd cheers he explains that the eight chosen girls will be brought up on stage and be opens the envelope to reveal the winners: Seira, Otome, Sora, Maria, Mikuru, Yurika, Ichigo, and Mizuki. The eight girls stand on stage together and everyone cheers.
Meanwhile, a depressed Raichi is driven to tears hearing that Aoi wasn't chosen. Ringo comes by as Aoi surprises him with a call, revealing that she thought he would be disappointed. But it's okay because while she's sad, she plans to continue her Aikatsu like normal. This inspires him to try his best too and he gets up to join Ringo heading back into the kitchen.
At Dream Academy, Seira brings up some boxes of Brain Thunder for Ki to drink while she's gone. Ki happily thanks her and claims that with it she will be fine, and she is very thankful or all of the kind words she was given and how excited she is. She plans to keep performing as an idol and producing.
At the dorm Ichigo thanks Aoi and Ran for helping her pack for the tour as Ran brings up her own summer plans. She will be teaching younger models for an upcoming Spicy Ageha fashion show, and Aoi mentions the filming she has to do for the brand new Naughty Police Chief movie. She'll be visiting the International Police Organization Interpol's HQ in the film, and for some of it she will even be going overseas. Ki will be lending her a hand with research. Hearing this, Ichigo admits that she feels sad they won't be together, but they will all have fun anyway. Aoi and Ran agree.
The following morning Ichigo and Otome are waiting for the rest of the unit to arrive and Aoi and Ran keep them company. They are soon joined by Yurika, who has her coffin insisting she can't sleep without it, and Orhime joins the girls and wishes for their safety. As she mentions that Mizuki will handle the production work, Johnny-sensei wishes them luck as the bus pulls up. They say their goodbyes and the trio board it to find the Dream Academy girls, Mikuru, and Mizuki already waiting. Along with Ferry, Mizuki's pet ferret, and Palm, Sora's bird. Maria wishes she could have brought Elizabeth with her until Yurika points out that they aren't running a zoo, and how a cow wouldn't fit. Otome claims otherwise as Ichigo sits down with Seira, and with everyone there Mizuki announces their departure.
A report is held on the large unit soon after, where the reporter announces that they will be visiting five dome stadiums throughout Japan. They will begin in Sapporo, then make their way through Tokyo, Naggya, Osaka, and Fukuoka. Tickets were also sold out almost immediately after they went on sale, and he goes on to bring up how Mizuki will be handling the production for each concert.
As they continue to their first destination Mizuki goes over her plans thus far. She believes that a video would be a good idea and intends on introducing each member to the audience using short clips. Then everyone will hold a solo performance, then lastly they will put on a group performance. Once they reach their hotel she will elaborate further.
Late into the night the girls finally arrive. The Dream Academy trio share one room and chat about Mizuki, who they haven't really spent much time with before. Even though she feels like a regular idol to them, she's also so much more.
Meanwhile, in the Starlight room, Otome asks to try out Yurika's coffin out of curiosity. Yurika refuses- expressing shock when she finds Ichigo inside of it. She demands she gets out as Ichigo brings up using it to try to do some thinking, when suddenly they get a message from Mizuki, who asks everyone to come to the meeting room. There she explains that this introduction video will not only be highlighting each one of them, but their friends too. She asks the girls to share their opinions about her idea, but she suggests they each something first and reveals that Ringo and Raichi prepared them several bento. Ichigo is surprised to find one with a note left for her as Mizuki warns the girls they don't have too much time to waste, so everyone sits down with their food to watch the videos they worked on in advance.
Finished, Mizuki announces that the girls are free to go but tells them that their concert will be held tomorrow, so they need to make sure they get a lot of rest. Everyone separates, except for Ichigo who asks to speak with Mizuki. She agrees and they head outside to sit on a bench, where Ichigo brings up Mizuki's rising popularity and asks about her personal goal. Mizuki realizes that now may be a good time to tell Ichigo, and she mentions how a while ago she saw Aikatsu from an outside view point. She saw it's power to make everyone happy and then realized what she can do to make it a lot better. She wants to energize all of Japan and lift the spirits of everyone who isn't happy, even if it's just a little at a time.
She goes on to ask Ichigo about her own future plans, but Ichigo admits that she never gave it much thought. Mizuki suggests that she uses their summer tour to think it over.
The next day, all of the girls share a cheer before appearing on stage. Dressed up and ready to go, they perform "SHINING LINE*".
The following day, Ichigo and Seira watch the news program about Aikatsu8 and their performance and she asks Seira about the future of Aikatsu. She doesn't have much idea and asks Ichigo what made her think about it, when suddenly the others show up and point out they need to pack up and leave. After a moment Seira promises to think about it with Ichigo and they run to the tour bus.
