Aim To Be☆Pefect Partners (めざせ☆最高のパートナー) is the 82nd episode of Aikatsu! TV anime series and the 32nd episode of its "2nd Season" (
The episode's scenario was written by Natsuko Takahashi.
Story
After WM's incredible performance, Ichigo and Seira realize that no matter how much you look at it, Mizuki and Mikuru are each other's perfect partner. Now, it's their turn, but can they really overtake the rising duo with their combination? And learn something valuable in the process?
Summary
Raichi and Noel are watching the recent news about the Partner's Cup when they decide to go and visit their sisters at the dressing room. Their performance is coming up, so when they take a peak inside, they find both girls quiet and fretting over their performance. They close the door and decide not to bother them, discussing instead how much of a big deal this is.
They go on to see Aoi and Ki and find them in another dressing room. They are somewhat surprised to learn of their friends behavior suddenly, but at the same time they really don't blame them for being nervous. After watching WM perform it has really shaken up things and now they feel like they might not be ready yet. However, both Ki and Aoi also believe that they will be okay and they wish to spread their energy and wishes of good luck with Ichigo and Seira, so they start to leave the room. Raichi stops the two then and brings up the text he sent earlier. None of the girls really understand what he is trying to say though, until Noel helps him, and when she does, Aoi and Ki can't help but call him adorable and other cutesy names. Aoi then stops and notices Raichi's sudden growth spurt since the last time they met before they leave the room.
The girls head over to see Seira and Ichigo, but to their surprise they don't find Seira, only Ichigo. Ichigo admits that normally she and Seira are able to keep each other upbeat and full of energy to keep going, but now watching WM perform, it's made her very concerned. She then mentions that Seira went off on her own to relax for a bit, so Ki goes to look for her. Aoi remains back to speak to Ichigo and comforts her by saying that next to WM, she and Seira are the top partner unit. Ichigo feels pressure from this, but she admits that she is actually concerned over how she can be Seira's perfect partner the way WM are for each other. She worries she might be holding back Seira.
Ki wanders along down the hallway to find Seira practicing her dance moves. Ki is happy by this, and Seira mentions that she is nervous and by moving her body she is able to calm down and unwind. She has been thinking a lot about how she and Ichigo can become partners that surpass WM out of fear she might be holding Ichigo back.
Aoi and Ki reunite before going to find Ran and Sora. They make conversation about the situation with them and realize that both girls are worried over the same thing. Ran and Sora sees this as a sign that they are perfect partners, but they are the only ones not to realize it. It's then they are joined by Kaede and Yurika, who have just returned from seeing Splash perform. Kaede mentions that now it's Sakura's turn, then Otome and Maria. They had already told Ichigo and Seira, so then they head back to watch the performances.
The girls get together and watch as Sakura and Satsuki perform, deeming it to be new and fresh before they all comment on the cuteness of Otome and Maria's performance. As it goes on, Yurika and Kaede decide to go and prepare for their own turn and stop as Ichigo asks them if they feel nervous. While they are a little bit, they are more excited and ready to go and have fun, which strikes something in Ichigo while they head off. As the girls finish watching them, they mention how the girls don't even seem nervous.
It's then the next duo performs, Yurika and Kaede. They are very surprised and wowed by their performance as Seira and Ichigo begin to realize even more, as do the other sets. Ki and Aoi then go on to perform, then Sora and Ran leave to go and get ready before they put on their performance. To their surprise, the girls end up misstepping and they worry about their mistake, but even further surprising them, Ran and Sora work with it and keep their happy expressions while finishing.
Backstage, Ichigo asks Ran if she was at all nervous but she claims not to have been. She was with Sora and for some reason she didn't feel nervous. Meanwhile, Sora also feels closely with Ran while on the stage and was very happy to get to perform with her again. They are joined again by Aoi and Ki, who reveal to Ichigo and Seira that while they were stressing out over their performance, they didn't realize that they were already thinking about the same things. They worried over holding each other back because of how talented and great the other one is, but the other girls tell them that they are the perfect partners whether they realize it or not. They should just go and have a fun performance and not worry over these things any more. They just need to realize it with each other now.
As performances go on, the headmistresses from both schools, along with Johnny watch from nearby. They all comment on their excitement regarding the performance and wonder if anyone will be able to surpass WM.
In the dressing room, Mizuki is busy with flower arranging while Mikuru asks her how she can stay so calm. Mizuki comments on how antsy Mikuru has gotten before comparing the situation to the flowers she has been arranging. Which gets Mikuru excited again, something that Mizuki admits to enjoying in the girl.
Back at the stage area, Seira and Ichigo resume speaking. They plan to put on a great performance and feel better, but they wish to reveal what they were about to say together previously after meeting WM. So after the count of three, they announce the same thing, exciting both girls until they realize that they were feeling the same thing after watching WM's performance. However, holding the other back isn't the thing to focus on so with that, the girls go and change into their chosen coords, appearing back on stage where they perform to "Sweet Sp!ce".
After the girls perform they remain on stage as the announcer reveals their results. To everyone's surprise, they were unable to tie or beat WM. However, everyone had a lot of fun that nobody really seems to mind this.
Back in their dressing room, Seira and Ichigo comment on how they feel after their performance. They are a little disappointed by their defeat, but they had so much fun, and they feel that they can both surpass WM someday. It's then, Mizuki and Mikuru show up. They compliment their performance, which makes them happy, then they go on to say that even though together they may be a little slowed down, it's impossible to say who will be in first place next time.
Ichigo and Seira head outside afterwards. They stay quiet for a moment before speaking to each other, regarding the next time they get to perform together before they separate and head back to their schools.

- This is the second episode to have rare constellation coords being used in performances.
- The CG effects have been slightly improved and became the 3.5th generation. More dramatic movements were made to the wings, dresses, and hair and shadow effects were used.
- WM won the Partners Cup.
