Synopsis[]
Dream Academy's Seira Otoshiro and Kī Saegusa will stand together for the first time on stage! But while enthusiastic, they must learn to how attract others using original choreography and get confused. As this goes on, what will become of Starlight Academy?
Summary[]
In their dorm, Ichigo, Ran, and Aoi are chatting about her idea for a subscription she has been considering signing up for to keep up with news related to Dream Academy. She doesn't get far, when she finds out that Ki will be producing a special performance for Seira and herself.
Meanwhile, Ki is waiting for her search results, asking her computer to work faster before Seira shows up. The very second she does is when it finishes though, and Ki starts explaining that in order for them to have a great performance they will need to make as many people enjoy themselves as possible; and in order to focus on that they will need to work on their choreography. She suggests that they create it on their own for the brand new song, and Seira is up for it since it sounds like fun. Although she admits to having no idea where to start.
Aoi continues reading the information she learned as she, Ichigo, and Ran head outside. She mentions that the information revealed that they will be performing a brand new song, and they will make their own choreography for it as well, impressing Ran as she points out how they never did this before. Ichigo claims she has though; for Thomas, the orca she met back in America. She then asks how someone makes their own choreography when Otome comes by with Shion and Sakura to show them an example until Johnny-sensei interrupts. As a pro choreographer he knows a lot from what he has learned, and he compliments Otome's choreography before suddenly jumping up and explaining to them in detail how he plans choreography; only to find them distracted as they practice Otome's choreography.
At Dream Academy, Seira expresses concern in how tough this may be for their first time. However, Ki is sure things will work out with enough research and analysis. Her computer has found the best song for them to perform, Magical Time, and they decide to take a break and listen to the song- but this causes Seira to worry the song is too cute for her. She asks why the computer chose it, and Ki asks if she is concerned if it may be going against her image, which she confirms as she has already been caught doing something like this before. Ki doesn't see it that way though, and explains that for an Idol, sometimes they need to keep their image, but other times they need to go against what they have built up. This contrast shows the fans that they have another side to them and will allow the fans to connect to them better and might even bring in new ones.
Seira seems to understand and agrees while Ki tells her they should find someone who can help them learn the basics of choreography. They begin to look for someone as Seira asks why they can't just ask someone at the school for help, but Ki explains that since this will be their first official performance together, she wants to find the best teacher with a lot of experience. As soon as the results turn up the girls take off.
Back at Starlight Academy, the girls have just finished practice when the duo suddenly shows up and surprises them. Seira explains how they came to pay Johnny a visit after Sakura, Otome, and Shion take off, and she brings up how the best person to learn choreography from is Johnny. However, Seira doesn't really know him very well so Ki takes a moment to give her some information, bringing up how he has taught both Masquerade and Mizuki. Impressed, they ask him to teach them choreography, though they worry he may refuse since they don't attend this school. He has no problem accepting them though, saying that while the schools may be rivals, they can still perform their passionate Aikatsu together. It also helped that Ki's kindness and flattery won him over.
With that he decides to give them choreography lessons, although he decides that Ichigo, Aoi, and Ran should also join in. He uses a dry eraser board to teach them the four points one needs to keep in mind for successful choreography, and he brings up that he used this method to teach Mizuki. This excites Aoi and she thanks Seira and Ki for doing this and giving them such a rare opportunity. With that Johnny resumes with point one: listen to the song while looking at the lyrics. He turns on the song to allow the girls to observe the sheet and asks them if any images come to mind. He then moves onto point two: draw images next to the lyrics on the paper. He demonstrates and shows them that writing words can also help. The five girls take turns drawing and find it to be very fun as Seira and Ki see the cute idea Aoi thought up. She is delighted by their response and grants them permission to use it.
Johnny moves on to point three and tells them to move their bodies while looking at what they wrote down on the sheets. Eventually the girls stop to take a break and Ki thanks Johnny for all of the help, only for him to remind them that there is one final point; to think about the people supporting the idol. Seeing the girls confusion, Johnny explains how it would be best for the girls to determine it on their own. He then starts a long-winded speech until realizing the girls weren't paying him any attention and he decides to end the lesson.
At Dream Academy, Seira and Ki have managed to put their choreography in order and now all that's left is to make sure they memorize it. They head to the dance room and record their practice and training sessions until evening, when they decide to check over their progress. However, they remain unhappy with the results, feeling that something is off. But they can't think about what it is.
The next day at TV TKY, Seira and Ki continue to think things over but remain concerned over the inability to realize what they are still missing. They did the choreography perfectly and memorized the song, but as they continue to ponder things through they are interrupted by Ichigo, Aoi, and Ran. They ask them if they came to record, but Ki mentions that they just have a meeting for the day. Ran asks how their practice has been going and the girls show them. The trio find it to be really cute, but when Seira brings up their concerns, Ichigo tells them to focus on just having fun. It dons on the duo that this would be a smart move since having fun would more than likely increase their cute appeal; perfect for this sweet and cute song. Ran also suggests that they imagine pictures being taken of every move to increase their precision as Ichigo goes on to ask Aoi for advice in this situation. Aoi then points out that by watching each other, they can figure out how to improve their posing and interactions.
Suddenly inspired, Seira and Ki head outside to resume training for the song by watching each other do specific things and providing tips. As the sun begins to set the girls decide to take a break and return to school, but still Ki remains unconvinced that this is enough. She heads straight for her computer and has it analyze their choreography and it manages to come up with something. Ki goes on to inform Seira that their dance moves are somewhat cramped up and tense, so they need to find a way to make them more dynamic. However, her computer has made a suggestion and she convinces Seira to give it a try- although she seems unsure.
Later it is revealed that the plan was to guide a jumbo jet to properly land. While Seira doesn't understand and finds herself annoyed, she keeps up with Ki as they work to loosen themselves up and make their poses more grand.
Eventually the day of performance arrives and everyone is wildly cheering for the girls. Seira and Ki exchange words of encouragement in the back. While they are a little worried, they will remember what they have learned, and because of their fans support they feel a lot more energetic and ready to go. With that, Seira and Ki share a cheer before they change into their chosen coords and appear on stage to perform "Magical Time".
Afterwards Tiara thanks Johnny for helping Seira and Ki. Meanwhile, the duo are congratulated by Ichigo, Aoi, and Ran, who quickly fawn over how cute Seira looked while performing. She is flustered but thanks them regardless, but Ran points out that despite this they will not let Dream Academy defeat them.
