Story[]
At last, the Starlight Queen Cup begins! Lisa has decided to sing the signature song of Mizuki Kanzaki, Move on now! for her performance. Meanwhile, rumors said that Mizuki will be doing live coverage for the Starlight Queen Cup.
Summary[]
The girls have finished training when they notice Lisa isn't with Nono like usual. She brings up that she had a singing lesson, and after she towels off she joins Lisa to find her watching a video of Mizuki performing "Move on Now". She explains how frequently she's been watching it lately, as she plans on performing it for the Starlight Queen Cup.
In their dorm room, Lisa confesses that she has lingering doubts on if she will perform the song well, but she must pick this one due to how much she values it. When they join the others in the cafeteria, she explains why that is. When she and Nono were younger after a concert they put on after the annual harvesting, it was suggested they each sing on their own for a change. Lisa chose this very song because she idolizes Mizuki, and everyone loved her performance so much, she couldn't ever forget that day.
The girls love her story and are convinced she will do great, but just then Rin recalls an announcement from Johnny earlier. He revealed that Mizuki will be doing live commentary during the Starlight Queen cup. This begins to worry Lisa after Nono points out that this is her chance to meet Mizuki, and Nono picks up on her quietness later in the day. Lisa confides in her, saying that she is very serious about becoming the Starlight Queen, so that she can prove to her parents that they made the right decision putting confidence in her aspirations. But she wasn't expecting this, and now she is very nervous. She asks Nono if she thinks she will do well when Akari calls for them to reveal the lineup has been announced for the competition.
Nono excitedly points out that Lisa will perform on day one, while she, Madoka, and Rin will be going on day two. Hinaki points out that she, Sumire, and Akari will perform on the third and final day- Akari will be performing last. Akari isn't happy with this, while Lisa isn't confident in performing after Juri. Just then, Hinaki recalls that just recently, Lisa and Juri performed in a drama together. Lisa confirms this and brings up that filming will start tomorrow, and Juri's mom even has a role as Juri's character's mom.
The following day, filming goes well and during break, Lisa compliments Juri's skill and how she boldly portrays her part, even when acting with someone as talented as her mother, who has a longer career in acting. She isn't very confident but hopes she can manage to keep her nerve, and when Juri sees how anxious she is they sit down together to chat. After Lisa confesses her anxieties to her, Juri claims she wasn't always confident. She often worried that she would be compared to her mom, and she used to feel a lot of pressure from that. But then she realized she isn't her mothers-daughter, but her own person.
Just then, Encierro arrives to greet the girls. Juri introduces him to Lisa, and he brings up that he has been following her progress as an idol as of late. She thanks him and he reveals the brand new Premium Rare dress he prepared for her to wear in the upcoming Starlight Queen cup. Lisa observes them, and while making her way back to the school she reminds herself that she is nobody else. The song she performs will not be Mizuki's, but her own Move on Now. Nono is happy to see Lisa feels better and she wishes for them to do their best.
Eventually the first day of the performances arrive. The announcer introduces himself to the audience and how the competition will work, then he goes on to reveal Orihime as another commentator, along with Mizuki. She thanks everyone for allowing her to attend, and the host asks for some words from both of them. They continue to speak about what they could expect during the competition, with Orihime explaining the importance of Fever Appeals, something that has become a major factor with the current generation of idols. The level of an appeal depends on the excitement and immersion of the fans, so they play a big role in any critical performance. But the higher rank an Appeal, the more difficult it is to master, so its possible to fail. Mizuki brings up that the ranks go from a C to Special A, and she's never seen a successful Special A performed yet.
Sakura, the current Queen steps onto the stage to announce the beginning of the tournament. Eventually the last two participants will be going on, with Juri greeting the girl who performed before her as the Host brings up how everyone is anticipating Juri's performance. Juri changes into her brand new coord and on stage she performs "". She amazes the audience and manages to perform a high ranked Fever Appeal that pushes her to first place. Mizuki and Orihime agree with the results, bringing up her ability to demonstrate her alluring appeal in performance.
Lisa is called on stage, and as Nono worriedly hopes for the best Lisa exchanges some words with Juri. She wishes her luck and Lisa thanks her, saying its because of her that she can do her best. She changes into her chosen coord and appears on stage to perform Move on Now.
Afterwards, Lisa awaits to see her Fever Appeal rank was also an A. she is very happy, and she takes 2nd place on the official ranking chart, which is slightly disappointing, but she humbly waves to the audience before leaving the room. Orihime explains that her Appeal just barely managed to reach an A, but her performance skill evenly matched Juri.
Lisa unwinds on her own for a moment, until opening her eyes to realize everyone has come to visit her. They congratulate her job well done and how much they enjoyed themselves, which cheers her up. Mizuki also comes by to compliment her, explaining how she brought a refreshing, new experience to the song that only she could do, and it was very inspirational. Lisa is very surprised, but knowing it was all worth it makes her overjoyed.
