Data Carddass Aikatsu! (データカードダスアイカツ!, Data Carddass Aikatsu!) is an arcade collectible card game from Bandai's DATA CARDDASS series. Similar to the Pretty Cure Data Carddass game, Aikatsu! is Bandai's original series aimed at female audiences.

Bandai teamed up with AKB48's Tomomi Itano for promotions who also directed the designs for the Cards. ^[1].

A second season with additional title "2014 Series" was released October 10, 2013 along with a new academy called Dream Academy, new characters, new brands, and a new system. Bandai chose Haruka Shimazaki from AKB48 for promotions and design directions.

In early August 2014, a third season under the title "2015 Series" was confirmed and, like season two, will feature new characters, new brands, and a new system. The collaboration partner chosen for the 2015 Series was Kanna Hashimoto, a rising idol and member of local Fukuoka idol group, Rev from DVL.

The fourth series was released in August 2015 and was named the "2016 Series". This series features new characters, new brands and a new system, much like the previous two. Kanna Hashimoto continues her work as a collaboration partner along with Miku Hatsune.

In mid-September, Data Carddass Aikatsu! was green-lit for release along with the anime and is slated to premiere on October 20, 2014.

Gameplay[]

The game casts the player as an aspiring idol student in Starlight School, a school dedicated to training girls into becoming idols. There, players are tasked to participate in contests called "auditions." The gameplay in these auditions consists of a fashion designing contest as seen in Pretty Cure Data Carddass. Players participate in auditions with cards. These cards contains clothes and accessories which are given to the player's character upon scanning. How well the player dresses up their character determines how well their character will stand out and increase their performance rating. The game features online capabilities such as: nation wide high scores, online profile pictures and more.
